I hate this. I always lag in GW. Now when everyone else lags, I play fine. How weird.

Ive been lagging bad for the last 2 weeks, enough to force me not to play the game. My average frag per sector is 88 files, and this was after a fresh format, I dont have any routers, My firewall is configured, My connect averages around 3.2 mbps with a max of 6 mbps.

It would probably be more helpful to post which zone you play in (e.g. Euro or America) as well as the approximate time it happened and the server IP (the little round dot bottom right corner ingame)... that could help pin down where things might be going wrong....

My lag didn't start until the Celestial Pig Event was removed. Now I'm lagging during missions and when playing my MM I'm not making my groups too happy. *Oops* ^.^ Is this a sign that the event should continue? Lol! Kidding.

OK so lets start the rumour that anyone who got a bad luck fortune gets lagged for a year!!!!

Lag FTL!

Seriously - I think it's time Anet dusted off the network maintainence page and gave us some sort of an update.

I say dusted off because the uptime of GW is awesome! but these lag spikes are really killing the enjoyment for the last few days.

Good idea. Unfortunately I didn't record all that info at the time, so I can only say that, for me, it was yesterday evening (EST) in American districts/explorable areas. Haven't been on today to see if it's still lagging for me.

I'm an American player. I don't get a server IP, GW starts up (as in, it gets past the patcher), but the login screen doesn't show that news box on the right side, and it reports that it can't find any login servers.

No, disabling the firewall doesn't help.

For what it's worth, I'm near San Francisco, using Comcast... anyone else running into similar problems?

This is the best thing ever:
I got an Err7 in Grenz Frontier after swapping out Storm Djinn's Haste for Gale.

Lag and error code =007 are making the game almost unplayable on Euro servers for the last few days and at the weekend.

Not good at all

Right now is not a good time to be working on your Survivor title...which I am on one char. I don't think I'll be playing her until this clears up.

Comcast has reportedly been having problems in my area (central Virginia) for the last several weeks, so it's been pretty much impossible for me to tell whether my lag spikes have been due to ISP issues or GW issues. I did have enough 4000+ ping spikes and rubberbanding incidents to give up on rollerbeetle racing after about 5 races over the weekend, and plenty of rubberbanding since then as I've opened the edges of maps, especially in towns and near NPC's.

Yeah, had trouble monking the other day in TOPK. The lag was bearable, but it was as if the skill recharge was set to quarter-speed. No complaints from the group, but I know the lag made me way less effective.

It's been lagging like crazy for me the last few weeks. It works fine most of the time, but I get huge spikes (30k ping) every 5 minutes or so. This kills any chance to properly complete a mission ≥.≤

I lag slightly every now and then, but generally bearable. At least we have those reconnects now
